As 90% of all digital platforms, services, and products exists of typographic content, it's important to understand the macro and micro aesthetics of typography. In this course you'll discover how you can enhance the accessibility and readability of your content and how you can even make this attractive and appealing in itself by exclusively steering on typographic parameters and without even using imagery.
The user-friendliness of digital applications that people use in their daily lives, both professionally and privately, is often below par. This is because the aesthetic qualities of design are underexposed in the field of UX. This course fills this gap and lays a thorough foundation in design aesthetics. The combination of UX and design aesthetics puts the designer ahead and enables the designer to put an end to the current sea of homogeneous and mediocre user experiences.
Unlike fashion and architecture, in the field of UX it's less common to come to design solutions from a style perspective. The endless repetition of homogeneous UX patterns predominate. In this training you will learn how to relate your work to references from (applied) art history. By building on the great work of your predecessors, you will also learn to work as a 'scientist' and bring the work for your clients to a high-end level.
This is our core service. Based on an audit, the quality of the design output and the information needs of the in-house UX team are identified and a tailor-made training offer is made. Training is applied on site and on the job and is fully integrated with the daily professional practice of the UX team. We make quality improvement and its effect on business results visible using UX metrics.
